While playing games I'm experiencing large frame rate drops and stuttering, followed by a sudden shutdown.

Specs:

  • Windows 11
  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • 1660ti
  • MSI b450m Bazooka max WIFI
  • WD Blue sn550 1tb ssd
  • T-Force VulcanZ 2 x 8gb 3200MHz
  • Corsair CX450M (450W 80+ Bronze)

Fixes attempted:

  • Updating GPU drivers in Geforce Experience
  • Scanned and repaired system files using sfc /scannow (Some files where corrupted)
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled GPU drivers
  • Used DDU to do a deeper uninstall of the drivers and reinstalled them (seemed to fix it for an afternoon, issues began the next day after a shutdown)

Hi! Sir_Goldenn after reading about your problem I think its due to you power supply that causes your PC to shutdown randomly, because while gaming the CPU and GPU may often draw more power which puts a load on PSU and exceeding its limits of power delivery and according to me that's where it cause for your system to shutdown.
