So i dont know how the hell this happened but for for some reason whenever i press shift it opens my calculator app. This is extremely annoying because now i cant sprit in games, nor can i type anything in caps (so i cant sign in to any accounts). Im running windows 11 and cant find anything online that will help

Sounds like you’ve got some kind of macro set up.  You’ll likely want to kill it.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Well it will be running and it would activate on startup, so you look for the app in startup manager and remove it.  The only one that I know anything about is autohotkey.  There are hundreds though. There are also macro viruses which will work with word or excel or other things so probably take them out of startup too.  They can be put back later if desired, but for right now it’s “killitwithfire”

Well i disabled everything that isnt steam on start up. There wasnt anything that didnt look standard. But the problem is still there. I have noticed though that its only with left shift.
