Budget (including currency): ~ 700 €

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mainly DayZ SA and R6 Siege but some other games from time to time. Other than that, just lighter workloads that my setup can handle just fine as it is...

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm looking to upgrade from my R7 1800X which starts to show it's age now and maybe from my GTX 1080 which still works just fine for me, but I might wanna upgrade now that GPUs are available...

For the CPU I was thinking about the 5700X because with that I could keep my X370 Mobo for now, or should I go with a 12600(K)(F) or even wait for ryzen 7000? What do you think?

For the GPU there are more or less just 3 options... 8GB XFX Radeon RX 6650 XT SWFT210 Core GAMING (~400 €), 10GB Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 GAMING OC (~ 420€) or 12GB Powercolor Radeon RX 6700XT Fighter DDR6 ( ~470 €). Nvidia GPU are just to expensive rn... I cant even get a 3060ti for under 500 €... Is it even an upgrade from the 1080?

What do you think?

I just want a system that I don't have to worry about for years 😅

Try and see if your x370 board can handle and supports the 5800X3D without holding it back. That should cover you for all games 1440p and lower bottlenecks. Then for the leftover budget you could get a 6600XT or a 6700XT on sale. I'd upgrade the CPU now and get a GPU when new RX7000 series come out.

I don't think it's worth it to replace perfectly working mobo just to go over to Intel, extra costs for maybe a slight gain?

For Ryzen 7000 I predict it's gonna have a hefty early adopters tax. I don't see a reason why AMD would be pressured even slightly to compete now with Intel as many leaks suggest Intel is struggling to meet deadlines. Your 700euro will be eaten up by a Ryzen 5 7000 CPU and the cheaper b650 motherboards fo sure.

Something like this could work. It might be worth waiting for the GPU, because in Europe they finally started dropping in price a lot recently so maybe the drops will be even bigger.

You think the GPU prices gonna go down more? I think the 6700XT and the 5600 are refused due to a promo from AMD that lasts untill the fifth of August... I'm a bit scared of the prices going back up after that... I'll see, there are still some days left until the fifth...

Didn't know it was a promo. Thought they were finally dropping here too. I guess now might be the time to buy, then, especially seeing that it's under MSRP
