Hey guys, I have an MSI MS-9661 Speedster2 mobo with 2x 6core opteron 2423HE, and 16GB RAM.

My problem is that when I try booting from an usb stick, the pc freezes, like the usb has a led that it flashes when its being  used, it stays lit, and i tried pressing they numlock led button, but it doesnt do anything, so the pc is freezed. Only way to get it back is via restarting it! In bios it never freezes, recognises everything, I have tried installing win 10, and ubuntu too, ubuntu said some "cpu soft lockup" all the time!

I have tried with different ram sticks, and pendrives, but no luck:(

What could i do? Please help

Have you tried other USB ports? Preferably ones that aren't close to eachother. Maybe the USB controller on your motherboard is having some issues.

Yes, i have tried every usb port and usb plug in thing in the mobo, but no luck

Update: memtest freezed too

re do the test with one stick of ram each time. most likely a faulty ram module.

Is there any way you could get the testing software on a harddrive, and connect that via SATA to the motherboard to boot off that? Also, IIRC this board has PS/2, are you connecting the keyboard to that?

I can try that, i use usb keyboard
