How to use VNC on an ubuntu computer without a monitor?

Hello all. I want to use VNC to log into an Ubuntu machine that doesn't have a monitor attached. My issue is that it would appear as though VNC does not allow this and will fail to log in when a monitor is disconnected. Is there some way to emulate a monitor with a certain resolution on Ubuntu (latest release)? specs below in case there are hardware conditions.

Processor: i5 2500k

graphics: intel Integrated graphics

motherboard: asrock something or the other.

drive: corsair 240gb mSATA

monitor resolution: 3440x1440

Ryzen 7 3700X

Aorus GTX 1080ti

G.Skill TridentZ 3200MHz 2x8GB

Corsair SFX 750W

Phanteks Evolve Shift Air (glass front)

2x Corsair Force GS 120GB SSD (RAID 0)

Depends which part of VNC you use. X11vnc will connect a vnc server to a running x session, or you can run vncserver manually and create a headless session.

Do you really need the GUI? because you can use ssh to get a system shell on the remote machine and it works on windows via powershell, MacOS natively. You can even use a android phone (via termux)
