HWinfo processor utilization

Go to solution Solved by Kilrah,

What version of Hwinfo?

Also you might want to configure it to not poll disk SMART info every 2 seconds like it does by default.

Running the pro version of hwinfo. Using the plugin to show certain stats on my streamdeck. Gameplay stutters alot while using it. Closed the app and its fine.
Set the utilization priority to low from normal. Not sure if there are some other settings that can somehow help in the app that I'm not aware of.

Cpu is already struggling at this point. Just don't wonna build another rig to get past this issue.

9900k running xmp without limitations.

Playing at 1920x1080 or 3440x1440 which makes it worse.

Maybe try using task lasso to keep HWINFO64 on just one thread? Maybe it's just a faulty version, have you tried rolling back to something older to see if that fixes it?

Havent tried that yet. Just narrowed down the issue after buying a larger res monitor assuming 1080 was causing the issue.

I have the 7.22 version installed right now. So may update. Didn’t realize it didn’t ask me to update it when it starts.
I’ll look into that and turn it off or lower it.

Copied someones settings online and the system runs flawlessly now. Wouldn't have thought this was something that would need to be addressed as much as I see it as benchmarking tool.
