I can get an Apple TV or Roku (those are only options pretty much). My family uses Amazon Instant video most and they all use apple products so they could screen cast to it. I have a Nexus 5 and I want to cast to it and I know there is an app to stream to Apple TV but i don't know if there is a way to screen cast to Roku. I also have a file server I would like to stream from but that isn't that big of a deal. Which would you recommend?

CPU: Intel i5 2310 Mobo: MSI Z77A-G41 GPU: MSI 760 Twin Frozr 4GB RAM: 8GB ADATA XPG Gaming Series

Storage: OCZ Aglility 3 120 GB SSD, 2 250GB Segate HDDs Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 PSU: Antec NEO ECO 520W

I love my Roku and all, but for your purposes and the uses you mentioned, then it's 100% Apple TV for you.

It can do everything you mentioned, even from your Nexus 5.
