Okay so this might be a long one.

I've been slowly updating my PC piece by piece as I need it for work (Film Industry) First it was the RAM, then processor, then cooling, then PSU. I'll list the updates bellow.

PSU: From a Bronze 750 EVGA to a Gold 850 XPG

RAM: 2 Sticks of Corsair 3200 16GB RAM (Total 32) to 4 Sticks of Corsair 3200 16GB RAM (Total 64, bought only 2 more)

CPU: Ryzen 3700 to Ryzen 5900

Cooler: AMD Wrath Prism to NZXT Kraken X53

The rest of the build is:

3 SATA Back up drives HDD

2 M.2 Drives, one samsung 980 pro 1tb one XPG 512 (Windows)

Asus TUFF X570 Wifi Plus Mobo
Gigabyte Eagle 12GB NVIDIA 3080

So the issue is as follows. At first, when installing the new sticks of RAM it was imposible to get them to work at 3200Mhz, and when I finally got it to work after a BIOS Update and a change of position for each of the sticks, the computer took ages to POS, and only did so after some of the lights in the mobo flashed first (As for checking the RAM). When it did, it worked as usual.

Then after the update of the cooling, processor and PSU, the computer worked as usual, until a couple of days ago while rendering something in premiere it restarted itself, thermals were okay as well as CPU, GPU and RAM Usage. Yet, after that issue, right after the Press F2 to BIOS a big black and ugly american megatrends screen popped just before windows booted, then windows booted as usual. I proceded to re do my render, only to find the same reset all over again as well as the ugly american megatrends screen (I also want to say, the screen does not have any instruction and/or reason for why it appears, it just do.

I proceded to take out the RAM (As all of the issues from startup started there) and lived only with my original 32GB pair... And computer seemed to work just fine, yet it kept on pulling that ugly screen, so I proceeded turn off DOCP and use my RAM bellow it's speed, then restarted again and seemed to work just fine, it did POS well, no american megatrends ugly screen everything was perfect.

Turned off my computer after some work and called it a day. Then today I wake up to work again and that UGLY American Megatrends screen just came right up again but this time... It took me straight to BIOS, showing me that my XPG M.2 Drive was nowhere to be seen, it was simply not there, restarted a couple of times, and it was still not there. I decided to take a break and just wait until later to try again, I did and magically it worked, but still went through the AM ugly screen. Right now, I'm tired and I'm also getting really mentally, monetarily and physically ill of all of this nonsense and I just want my computer to work as to my understanding I have a very powerful PC that should be able to work through my premiere and after effects workflows with no hiccup, yet I feel I'm hitting myself against a wall.

Right now, best I can do is buy new RAM Sticks, pair of 32GB 3600Mhz sticks from GSkill and another Samsung M.2 of 1TB to re-install windows and "start fresh" but I'm not sure if that would cut it, I really need help figuring this out.

Alright. Normally you buy a ram kit in a set of 2 or 4. These are tested together. If you use a set of 2 sticks, then normally the timings are tigher than a kit with 4 sticks. If you use XMP/DOCP with that kit it wont work. Also just because the kit is the same speed and timings is listed the same, dosen't mean its the same. Has to be same model number in order to have exactly the same cunfiguration.

For you to get it to work you can either. Run auto timings at a lower speed.

Download Aida64, to check the timings table for both dimm sets. In Aida, go to motherboard-> SPD

Make sure that kit 1 is in slot a1 b1 and kit 2 is in a2 b2 ( no mix). After you can go to motherboard and manually put in timings. Use the highest timings of the two kits, set frequency and dram voltage manually.

Did you try testing with each different set of ram? It seems like it could be a ram issue. Are the two sets the same spec?

Yup. They are not the same spec, they are actually quite different. That's why I thought removing the "new" RAM sticks would solve the issue, yet it still happens even with the old set only (Which is weird because before the switch it didn't go that way)

Okay that's great to know the thing of buying either 2 or 4, I didn't know that, thanks!

Yet, I tried just taking out the new set and working with the old set I had only to have a "more stable system" but the same AM screen keeps popping up which did not happen before I added the other 2 into the mix.

Right now, I'm planning on getting 2 sticks form G Skill, but I'm not sure if that will solve the overall issue.

did you try clearing the cmos between attempts? if not, try clearing the cmos when trying only one set at a time.

Okay... Sorry for the ignorance... How do I do that?

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025368/processors.html

it resets all settings for the bios to default, make sure you know which settings have to be set beforehand(boot order, ect.)

you unplug the psu, then remove the battery for about 5 minutes.

By resetting everything to default would it go to the version it came in? Or would the BIOS stay updated?

Okay, it all seemed to work out. As of now, system is stable. Will keep you posted in case something goes werid

Update, it seemed to work just fine but, when using my keyboard in it's wireless setting the AM screen flashes once again saying NO KEYBOARD DETECTED before running into windows. And it only seems to happen when the keyboard is on bluetooth
