First ever Pc Build! Looking for any tips.

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

If you rearrange this parts list a bit, you can fit a GPU in here pretty easily while still getting a better CPU. You really want to avoid using integrated graphics if you can avoid it, the performance of a dedicated GPU is really a lot better.

This list plus a $20 Windows key should work out great

Budget (including currency): 700-900 USD

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: School work and Light Gaming (Minecraft, Sims 4, etc.)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is my first build so I will take any tips!  Trying to hold off on buying a GPU for right now and just use integrated graphics from a CPU.  Planning on eventually buying a rtx 3060/3070 to go in this build.  Is it worth it to go with the Ryzen 5 5600G or should I just go with the 7 5700G?

@buzzkill21 I second the build by @RONOTHAN##.

The 6600 is no slouch either. If any games come out that you're dying to play over the next several years, you'll be good to go.

At a $7-900 there is almost no reason to go with an APU.

Thanks for the help with making that build list!  If I could afford it would it be worth it to get the 12600KF?  Also if so what CPU cooler would you recommend?

For just gaming there isn't a huge difference between the two, I'd save the $100 and stick with the 12400F.

If you want to get a cpu cooler for the 12400F (you don't really need one), just get the cheapest tower cooler you seen find with lga 1700 mounting hardware
