Hi folks, I've been building a pc for my dad and I'm having trouble getting the motherboard to boot into the UEFI. I've got a 5600G, with an ASRock B450m/ac, the stock CPU cooler, XPG 3200mhz 2x8gb ram, and a 650w Thermaltake GF1. I've just been benching it with those 5 parts and I can't get the motherboard to post. The board originally was missing its cmos battery, but I've replaced with a 2032 coin battery from the store. I've also reseated the ram and tried using two other options from my current pc (they're mismatched, don't hurt me). Both of those are also at 3200. I've tried resetting the CPU cooler but nothing happened. I've also unplugged and replugged back in the power connectors to see if it was a loose power connector. Also, this motherboard has no LEDs for me to diagnose nor does it make any sounds so troubleshooting is quite tricky.

Whenever I short the pins to the power button the CPU fan will start spinning for 30 seconds to a minute, and then it will stop and do a reboot on a loop. I can't reach the UEFI/BIOS screen and there is no output to the screen (despite the integrated graphics and despite my trying to plug in a discrete GPU separately). Does the motherboard maybe need a BIOS update? Please let me know if you have any ideas!

First of all try resetting bios, if you don't know how you can read it up online, but basically there are couple of pins on which you place a little plastic cap, and hold the power button for 30 ~ seconds, thus resetting the bios. That's the first step. If it doesn't help it might need a bios upgrade (this is the most likely issue), you will have to get an older cpu like 3600 or similar you can get 1200, for cheap, install it it should load to bios, and update the bios to the newest, then swap the cpu. If it doesn't help come back here again.
