DJI drones

hey so i just got the dji mini se and am very happy with it. The only problem im having is that the signal is very poor as im flying in a neighborhood and not in an entirly open area. I was thinking about returning it and buying the Mini 2 instead as it as the ocusync technology which from what I hear is very good. Any one have any suggestions on if this is a good idea? The camera and stuff aren't really a concern for me, the transmission is what is putting me on the edge of getting the mini 2 instead.

In my experience (Mini 2) the antennas on the controller are way more directional that I initially thought. Are you making sure you're keeping the controller pointed in the general direction of the drone?

I have a mini2 and can say the reception is blocked by houses and trees by about half.  If your in direct line of sight and keep the controller pointed at it, it will certainly go the distances they claim.
