Trying to boot off a 4gb flash drive in bios for win 7. When i select it to boot the screen flashes then does nothing. Iv'e tried two different flash drives and neither work. I made a win7 image with power iso off the installtion disc which does work (i'm useing it right now) and the flash droves are bootable. I have legacy support on in the bios. My motherboard is a biostar TA990FXE. Thanks :)

Hi, are you sure the USB is bootable? I have used many different tools to make USB's bootable but not all work. I highly recommend using this official one http://download.cnet.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

i don't need it anymore but ill use it if i do need it again. And I've used poweriso every time when making a bootable flash drive :/

The 7 USB/DVD Download Tool does not make an ISO of your windows 7 installation it extracts your ISO or disc to your flash drive because that's the only way you will get it to boot properly.

Either way you need to extract your installation to the root of your flash drive and set the bootmgr to boot and it will work fine.
