I installed a fresh copy of Windows 11, went to install some games and the was an error that some direct x dlls where missing. So I tried to install direct x. I got an error "An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem". After 2 hours of troubleshooting, I got nowhere, and decided to reinstall Windows again. Same error. Both the DirectX installer and the Windows Iso are genuine. Please help!

Which version of DirectX are you talking about? Did you have a look at the DXError.log/DirectX.log, as the message suggested, what error message(s) did they contain?

You shouldn't need to manually install that on Windows 11 at all, it comes as part of the OS through Windows Update.

If those games complain, they probably need an older version of DirectX (e.g. DX9)

He won't be able to install direct-x 9, since he already has direct-x 12. I don't know if he used a DVD to install. If he did, It's possible that he has a bad DVD or wrote the windows 11 image at too fast a speed.
