PMBUS address error

Got a broken z77 extreme4, fixed it up (unbent pins + socket cleanup), verified if it posts into bios just fine, gone mad scientist mode and immedeatly crossflashed to z77 oc formula if you are wondering the story behind this

 

Anything to worry about other than opening hwmonitor in the bios causes it to freeze? Bios can be saved and exited just fine so other than that no other oddities

I would not use that board without PMBUS, as its about power management.

Which is a dumb thing to do, board layout is significantly different. I am not sure why would anyone do that but knowing you its probably due to your beliefs of thinking board being gimped by its bios.

The stock bios has wayyy lower volt, 1.2v vccsa max? Yea no, dram volt is rather conservative at 2.1v while asus doing 2.2v, but oh well its ivy bridge with less bulletproof imc so i guess thats to be expected, its a 2$ pentium so if i kill it somehow (very unlikely) i can buy another one for 2$, also socketed bios so if a crossflash fails i can revert bios with just a bios programmer

 

It looks to be a normally working z77 board so if the oc formula bios is weak or ram oc capability is weak i can prob trade for an asus z77 then flash that to the z77 deluxe

 

PMBUS = power management? So basically power limits? Yea this is a pentium so i dont think thats an issue
