Advice for first PC build?

Go to solution Solved by An0maly_76,

Unless you're crazy overclocking, AIO is overkill for a 5600X. The X doesn't gain much on PBO anyway, and the 5600 is cheaper. 5600X will stay within limits with a stock Wraith cooler without crazy overclocking, though I'd recommend a tower air cooler. If you're really stuck on AIO, though, (I don't recommend them as they create unnecessary extra hassles in troubleshooting), you might consider a 5800X, which actually needs it and performs better.

Also, from a bang-for-the-buck standpoint, the cost of the AIO and 5600X gets you most of the way to a 5800X ($309). A Scythe Mugen S is under $60, and a few case fans aren't much more. If you really want white all over, a light coat of white spray paint on the Mugen S would have you covered, there's also the Noctua NH-D15 with white heat sink covers, albeit more pricey. The 5800X gives lots better performance potential and future-proofing than the 5600X too. I air-cool a 5900X with a Scythe Mugen 5, so if that cools in my 4000X case, I know that will work in your Lian Li.

However, Ryzens don't seem to like Corsair RAM, I would recommend Crucial Ballistix RGB DDR4-3200 in white, and add a slight OC if you like, to get it to around 3600. You'll be much better off, believe me.

Budget (including currency): ~$1600, willing to go to $1700

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Lost Ark, Apex, Minecraft, some other miscellaneous games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I was a laptop gamer before, but now I want to build my first PC. I did a little bit of research before discovering this forum, and this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hmNCrD is what I came up with. I really want a white aesthetic along with an aio liquid cooler, and of course I need a 1440p monitor and new gaming mouse (I chose the razer viper mini because I have smol hands). Any tips would be greatly appreciated, including any extra things I may need to buy (case fans, wifi, cables? not too sure), thanks for helping out

Tbh it looks fine for a ryzen build. That cpu most likely won't need an aio but I get the aesthetics of an all white build

That ram is a bit slow and corsair doesn't tend to play with ryzen well.

Consider an Intel build?

I also usually like recommending corsair cases since in my opinion they are easy to work in. The 4000 cases come with 3 fans so you would really have to buy 1 more fan if you get the aio so it would be fine.
