Hi, my brother recently bought a new Sapphire Pulse RX 6650XT. At first he installed it himself and did a clean driver installation. In Apex Legends, Cycle and Escape From Tarkov the Gpu gets underutilized. Utilization is around 50%-70%, temps are good (65C), power draw up to 100W , CPU is at 40%. Games stutter alot and arguably run worse than with rx470. That's at 1080p and it does not matter if we play on low or max settings. At first I tried installing the GPU in my system (MSI B450 pro vdh max, Ryzen 5 3600, Rx 480 4gb, Gskill Aegis 2x8gb 3000 mhz (xmp enabled), 550W Fortron PSU, Samsung EVO 970 M.2 500GB SSD. I did a clean driver install on my pc and the games run the same. Do both CPUs bottleneck the GPU? Then I decided to update the bios on my brothers MBO (b450 mortar) 7B89v1H7(Beta version). That didn't help either. Then I did a fresh windows install (Windows 11 pro). Installed GPU drivers, Chipset drivers. Apex runs noticeably smother although the Gpu is still underutilized (50%-70%). Cycle still stutters. Haven't tried EFT yet. I'm still downloading it. Any ideas? Is it a CPU bottleneck (There is a slight bottleneck I believe), what else can I try? Thanks!

Unigine Heaven bechmark utilizes the GPU 99% and works fine.

Yeah, that seems like a CPU bottleneck. These games are pretty easy to get bottlenecked by CPU.

Did you try driver 22.5.2? It gets some performance improvement, especially when bottlenecked by CPU in DX11

We've tried it before I did a clean windows 11 install. Did not make a difference. I can try it now on win 11. Another thing that got into my mind is to try a 1440p monitor (my friend has it. That should reduce the bottleneck.

Yeah, that could help reduce it. You could also try capping the frames

EFT is at ultra settings. First apex screenshot is at medium (Antialiasing off, textures max) and the second apex screenshot is at max settings.

EFT is actually working good. Apex is not that smooth. I didn't believe that 2600 would be such a bottleneck.

I guess ryzen 5600 it is. Now with updated bios it should be plug n play, fingers crossed.
