Computer shutting down randomly

So earlier today I decided to play the sims 3 on my secondary gaming pc. After about 15 to 20 minutes of playing, my computer randomly turns off. No "windows is shutting down" or game crash, It just turns off. Once it does this, I cant turn it back on, I have to switch the power supply off and on in order to turn it back on. 

 

specs:

 

AMD fx 8150 (not overclocked)

ASUS crosshair v formula 

4gb of ocz ram

evga Geforce 550ti

I looked over everything and didn't see anything that looked out of place. Not that I can get easily (only one I have is the one in my main pc). 

 

So I tried playing different games (next car game and Beamng drive) and every thing worked fine, so it seems that the issue is with the sims 3. But why would the sims 3 cause it to just shutdown randomly?

Thats quite strange... can you monitor system resource usage while playing Sims 3?

Cpu 23%

 

ram 67%

 

I'll try adding more ram and see if that helps any.
