5600G True CPU / GPU Equivalency

I've been trying to research this for a hypothetical and I've found sources indicating the following:

 

CPU performance equivalent to 3700X

GPU performance equivalent to RX550

 

Is this correct?

General consensus seems to be that the GPU (with decent/good RAM) lands somewhere in the GT 1030/RX 550 ballpark. CPU side, I think it's just a single CCX 5600X with less cache? And PCIe 3.0 only, though that's hardly relevant to iGPU perf.

That sounds about right. Definitely an impressive APU for how small of a box you can shove it into.

That said, what can be said for the 5700G? Would the difference be worth the price difference?

For CPU multi - core performance... depends on price difference but likely yes. 

 

For GPU performance... not really. The difference is very small as you're greatly limited by the DDR4 memory bandwidth in most situations.

It's between the 3700X and 3800X, for the CPU part it's good.
