did you make sure the BIOS file has the appropriate name and file type? Did you make sure if you had to update to another version before you update to the one you want?

Well I'm using mflash first of all, so does the name still matter? I didn't change it once downloaded

Second, I did not, so what version do update to first

If you extract the file to the USB drive, I think it's supposed to be named the same as what the version name is. Check the manual to make sure.

I don't know, you should check their website to see what version you have, what version you want, and if one in-between says you need to update to it as a step.

I'm not really sure.

When you say "USB flash", do you mean the BIOS update button?

Yk I've never really got a firm answer to this. Does the cpu and ram have to not be installed when you're trying to update?

When using the BIOS update button on these boards, it doesn't matter if the ram and CPU are install. you just need power to the board.

When you prepared the USB to flash the BIOS, can you describe the steps to me?

Well since I already had the file on the drive technically, I just renamed it to MSI.ROM and then shut down, and pressed the button, it then started flushing and has been solid ever since

Actually for mflash process before that

Downloaded the file from the site

Extracted it and put only the bios file in the stick

Restarted and clicked mflash button in my BIOS, and rebooted and did its thing, and for what you see in the pictures there

Somewhere along the line I also did quick format the drive

Did you extract the file after downloading it.

Well in that case, try the same process with a different BIOS version, maybe the one slightly older. Make sure the BIOS file is not inside a folder.

Does it depend on what port it's in?

I have the most success with the ports next to the Ethernet port. It shouldn't matter, but sometimes motherboards get picky.
