5V USB power inserter ok for GPU?

Hey guys,

Having infrequent intermittent signal loss when using an RTX 2070 Super, an LG CX, and a 5m Ruipro gen 3 Hdmi 2.1 AOC cable.

I know 5m is really pushing it for 2.1, but unfortunately I'm entirely restricted by distance.

My actual question is: would plugging the included 5V USB power inserter (injector) that comes with the Ruipro cable be okay to use with my GPU? Want to give it a go, but I've not found any definitive answers online as to whether it would damage the GPU.

Any help is much appreciated!

All that it is power for the active signal booster, can’t hurt the GPU (unless the cable is garbage and sends 5v into the GPU’s HDMI output, not entire sure what that would cause to happen…)

Thanks mate! Asked in 3 places on the AV forums in the UK, still haven't got a response after a week. Here, get one in 10 minutes. Cheers!
