so my boot drive is a harddrive ive just put in an m.2 and formatted it and want to use macrium relfect to copy the boot files over to the m.2. in my boot drive there is two things system reserved and just the c: drive do i only need to copy over the system reserved stuff then switch the boot drive in the bios or should i do the whole drive and then wipe the hard drive

you can use both drive, just switch it through bios.

keeping the old windows has a benefit.

if the ssd os failed, you got a backup.

that doesnt answer the question tho XD. is the system reserved bit in the hardrive the only thing i need to copy over.

okay wrong answer then.

you need to clone the whole drive including the hidden partition.
