OS Help! For new build

Go to solution Solved by JLCitadel,

sorry i should have asked differently... im leaning towards windows but not sure what version is best for gaming

If you like 8.1 use it. If you don't then use windows 7. People who don't use 8.1 dislike it. Not don't use it cause 7 is better or 8.1 is better. They're the same. Eventually 8.1 will be better, so if you are willing to use it and like it then get used to it now.

windows has the most support for games

Windows. supports all the hardware u have and software u will have ie games. either 8.1 or 7. i would go 8.1 as its the most recent OS and will support everything

if u go Mac, it wont work as the hardware u have is not compatible. Linux is kinda hard to find. not sure what its like either.

I use Windows 8.1 Pro and i absolutely love it. Overall, it's a faster OS. Not going to give you a lot of performance gain, but it's really quick.

Vista

Yeah. I would definitely go Windows Vista. It's Microsofts' best version of Windows ever. :P

sorry i should have asked differently... im leaning towards windows but not sure what version is best for gaming

I would definitely recommend Windows 8.1. I currently use Windows 7 w/SP1 but if I had Windows 8.1 I would install it and use it. It's quite fast. :D

This is a pretty good answer, windows 7 might have as many kinks as 8.1 but they are crazy similar and in tthe not to distant future 8.1 will be better.
