Cat6a problems SOHO

camjocotem

I've got a Cat6a SOHO setup where I've individually tested:

-All cables used (with cable tester):

- - Cable from PC to wall outlet

- - Cable from wall outlet to patch panel

- - Cable from patch panel to switch

- Running long cable from switch to PC (with a Cat5e cable)

And yet when I connect my PC to the wall outlet it will temporarily say "identifying" and then disconnect again.

So as far as I can see it seems like it "knows" it's there, but either something crashes or something is maybe configured wrong?

Though I can't imagine what considering it seems fine when connecting Cat5e directly to the switch.

Any ideas?

EDIT:

Nvm sorted it out, I had twisted the actual plate to visually sit the way I wanted.

This caused the cables to get twisted which presumably caused interference.

The wallplate looks upside down now but it works 😂
