Bios update question

Hi, 

I have a question about my B550M-ITX/ac motherboard. Last year, i built my pc with this motherboard and amd ryzen 5600g cpu but there is one problem. 

My ram wont go to 3200 mhz (Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3200) and remains running at 2133 mhz. So i wanted to fix this. I went to my bios and loaded the pre generated profile and rebooted the system. 

But it is still running at 2133 mhz. So i thought maybe there is a problem with my cpu or motherboard. Cpu-z says that my current bios version is P1.50 but asrocks webpage says that they only support my cpu by version P1.60 https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B550M-ITXac/index.asp#BIOS. So i think that after i update my bios it will start running at the correct speed because it will support my cpu.

So now is my question: can i just update my bios or will that cause problems?

If your bios didn't support your cpu it most likely wouldn't be working

You should update the bios to the latest one.
