Dust Covers for Xbox Series X

So as someone who likes to take care of expensive electronic hardware I have been looking online for dust covers for my Xbox Series X. Super easy to find on Amazon and pretty inexpensive as well. My question is do you guys think that a dust cover is needed for the Xbox? Did Microsoft design the console in a way that by adding dust covers I may just increase the overall running temperature of the unit? 

 

I personally think that adding them won't do any harm to the console but I always like to gather other opinions first.
