The Full tower is so I can add things in the future.

Take a look at some pictures online of finished Full tower versus mid tower builds and see what people are doing.

Full tower is usually used if you plan on doing extensive watercooling, are using an E-ATX motherboard, plan on tri or quad GPUs, or need a bunch of 3.5 and/or 5.25 expansions. I like my full tower, and liked it before I even watercooled - the extra space is nice.

But, just take a look and determine if it's worth the money :)

Buy this PSU now.  You won't find a better PSU for $45. CX600M - $45  The deal ends at 11:59pm 4/22. Act fast.

For gaming, the system you built is way overkill and you wont utilize the components that you are paying extra for.

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3wG5N

Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3wG5N/by_merchant/

Benchmarks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3wG5N/benchmarks/

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($209.99 @ Amazon) <-- i5 is all you need for gaming.  If you live near a Microcenter, pick one up for $180.

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  ($29.98 @ OutletPC) <-- Get one anyways, helps with noise and temperatures.

Motherboard: MSI Z87-G55 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($113.98 @ SuperBiiz) <--Get the least expensive Z87, SLI capable mobo you can find.  Motherboard doesn't impact performance.  non-SLI capable mobo should cost no more than $85, SLI capable should cost no more than $110.

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($69.99 @ Newegg) <-- Really good deal on this RAM, buy it now before the deal expires.  You only need 8GB for gaming.  Start with 8GB, if you need more, then buy more.  But you won't need more unless you play a HEAVILY modded Skyrim.

Storage: PNY XLR8 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($60.98 @ Newegg) <-- You want an SSD, at least 120GB.  This is a good price for 120.

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($54.98 @ OutletPC)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card  ($499.99 @ NCIX US) <-- Get at least a GTX780/R9 290 with your budget.  Anything less and you failed to allocate funds appropriately.  GPU is the most important component, nothing impacts performance more than the GPU.  Spend 40%-50% of overall budget on GPU.

Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Newegg) <-- VERY good case for $40.  Buy this case now before the deal ends.  You won't find a better case for $40. Act fast.

Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($45.00) <-- Buy this PSU now before it goes back up in price.  It is the best one you will find.

Total: $1124.88

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
