Recently, to my gleeful surprise, my father said we could get a powerful home computer for demanding tasks such as renders, video editing, a server, as well as playing intensive games on high graphics.
Budget is $1000 to $2000. It is possible to wait until Zen 4, or new generations. I would ideally like it within the next 3 months, however.
Currently what I have in mind is a 5600x/3080 combo. Is alder lake better in this situation? Some of the tasks outlined above require more cpu oomph over gpu.
A very far thought is being able to fit all this into the nr200p. It can house 32cm cards though, so it's a possibility. My father would like this as the case for some reason, although it doesn't have to be.
Aussie gpu prices are only a small bit over msrp, so that shouldn't be too problematic. If someone could provide an aussie pcpp my dad and I would be exstatic.
Nice to haves would be recent gen parts, and a reliable and efficient psu.
Cheers for all your help!
EDIT: It will be used with both a 144hz 1080p monitor, and a 4k 60hz TV. Edited by Mr-G-Man

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I actually went a little different on the case. MicroATX is still smaller than a mid-tower and still portable enough, if needed. Airflow will be a lot better, and you can get a better motherboard. A RTX 3060 is plenty for 1080p gaming, as well.
