Laptop screen not working

So basically, we have online classes and my sister turned on her computer to do her classes but it did not turn on. The screen wont display anything. The keyboard would lit for a second but would disappear. I removed the backplate and took the ram out and put it back but it did not work. She need her  laptop fast. Help pls

Plug an external monitor into the laptop and see if it displays to that.
