MSRP in the long form is "medium suggested retail price", right? I've been hearing it so much and am wondering if I have the correct definition in mind

Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price

It's what the manufacturer wants to sell a product for. If there is lots of stock and low demand, real retail prices go down to sell more, but the actual MSRP stays the same.

In graphics cards the MSRP is still quite low, but demand was extremely high, thus increasing the retail prices. It's just offer/demand.

Another key thing that plenty of people don't realize is that when a place like Microcenter or Best Buy is selling cards for more money than an equivalent or identical card would have been in the past, they're not price gouging, they're just maintaining the MSRP passed down to them. Price changes for stores and customers are as a result of suppliers increasing their price more than anything else.
