Watched this Video:

I don't see the point of this product or the Pi 400 itself. The Video doesn't provide a Link where+how to buy this item. And no Ebay doesn't count. Not even portable. By the time you add a battery and the Pi 400, you now spent enough money for a Notebook.

the pi400 is nice if you were going to connect a keyboard to it anyways. the pi400 is also a tiny bit faster than the pi4 (different doc revision)

as for the majority of pi accessories... yes, expensive for what you create with them, but if you want a 'hackable' platform, still an okay enough price for a well enough made product.

would i buy it? heck no. would a lot of schools buy 5 of them to mess around with? probably.

Where will someone buy these at? Ebay doesn't count. Now if the Raspberry Foundation came with up a hackable notebook instead of the Pi 400, well then that will be more useful. Something like the Pinebook Pro but easier to get.

i'm assuming since the guy doesnt have links up it's an early sample. he gets a lot of those.

as for where to buy one.. most likely either from the manufacturer directly, some form of online marketplace (ebay, aliexpress, amazon, ..), from some pi-centric shops like the pi hut, or from bulk-oriented retailers like farnell.

also, the pinebook pro isnt all that much better than the pi400 performance wise. not that it matters for the goal of the platform either way. it's a tinkering toy, not a workhorse.

EDIT: he does have a link up for where to get it:

My how did I missed the link? Thanks.  The PBP can be tinkered with as well, but last time I was looking it is rather a PITA to get.
