Hi, my computer has been fine for about 2 years now, but today my display started to act up. First time i boot when i get home today the system suddenly shuts down, the second time i boot up the same thing happens. The third time the system switches to using onboard graphics even though its set to use pcie express in the bios. All this while the card seems to run fine in the system with its fan spinning. From hereafter the system boots up and when i type in my password, the car's fan spins rapidly for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. ive tried to change the pcie slot but it didnt do anything. The card is connected to my monitor using hdmi. Can anyone help me on this? It'll be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there is any more info i should provide. I'm also using an EVGA Gtx 570

the cables are plugged in properly, i tried plugging in the card with vga and a vga to dvi adapter but the same problem persists. another thing is that the card is shown in device manager, but it shows that windows stopped the device because it has reported problems.
