LTT Deskpad Lumpy?

Jarsky

I have a couple of Northern Lights deskpads for a while and I love them. Especially appreciate the option of having them in such large sizes to cover my various desks.

But i've just noticed with changing my mouse movements that there are "lumps".

My desk for my gaming PC is perfectly flat. I have an expensive solid timber topped standing desk on a steel frame.

If I move the deskpad and try my mouse on the desk directly it feels buttery smooth and completely flat.

But with my deskpad I find there are a couple of spots where it feels lumpy/bumpy like theres debret underneath the deskpad, as if there was a few small bits of popcorn underneath it.

Possibly some spots where the foam is denser, so its not compressing evenly?

I only noticed because I use 32" monitors and typically run a 1:1 mouse sensitivity to the monitor...so with my new setup, a horizontal 360 is approx 30".

One of the lumpy spots is right at the far left of my sweep and its right in the middle. So my mouse is moving over it constantly now and its extremely noticable.

I moved my keyboard off the pad and did sweeps across the entire pad and I can feel theres a few of them, but this spot above is the most major.

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing?
