AMD or Nvidia for AMD CPU

I've been considering to purchase a new GPU and I was looking at the RX6700 XT and the RTX 3070ti.

- 723$   MSI AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT MECH 2X, 12GB GDDR6, 192bit

- 1059$ MSI GeForce RTX 3070 TI VENTUS 3X OC 8GB GDDR6X 256-bit

 

While the RTX being clearly the superior card it comes at a pretty big price premium. That being said the VRAM of the AMD card is definitely appealing. 
Benchmark performances seen to be somewhat similar with Nvidia having a few FPS over.

Based on that one could say that the RX 6700 XT would be the best bang for buck, but Nvidia also has DLSS & RTX as new and appealing technologies that AMD still struggles in.

When RTX is on AMD is absolutely destroyed. (And yes I know it does not make a huge deference in most games, however more and more games start supporting it, and it looks pretty nice in some newer titles)

 

Asides from that from what I've seen AMD CPU's appear to work better with AMD GPU's & there is the VRAM again so I'm reluctantly trying to decide for one of the 2.
Currently I run an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and an RX 580 XFX 8GB.

I'm a somewhat medium/heavy gamer (I'm also doing some video editing, 3d Animation & modeling at times) running a 3440 x 1440 160Hz Monitor & Playing in VR at times.

My current GPU had a nice life, it got me trough a lot of titles, however for the resolution I run & some newer titles are beginning to... Well my GPU is struggling, I'm still getting 40~50 frames with lower settings ( A bit more if i lower resolution, however it depends on the region I'm in a game)

Can I get an Opinion on the matter ?

Not true. They really could not care less.

 

If you don't see a use for raytracing or dlss then get the 6700xt.
