5700xt replacement

My 5700xt is hard crashing my pc, one second its 144HZ smooth gameplay the next second no power to PC. I've tried everything except a new card. Now that prices are down what would be the best bang for the buck GPU for 144hz 1440p and some quest 2, steam VR.? I would like a 3080 or better but i just cant afford it and id probably be CPU bound. I would like to be around $600 but I was about to pull the trigger on a 6800xt for $900 but i just don't know if that would be wise. 

 

System specs below.

 

Ryzen 5 3600

MSI B550 gaming plus

32GB Gskill 2X 16Gb 3200Mz, but its running at 2600Mz according to bios.

XFX 5700XT =3 

750W PSU

Have you tried RMA on the defective card? Could be your power supply so might be worth ruling that out first
