Is this safe?

I'm trying to download a well known minceaft mod known as "optifine" and after going through adfly and clicking download, It redirected me to a site called "server.spmstar" and I'm worried if this site has any malware. I tried scanning using my windows defender and malwarebytes and there's no virus detected, but I'm a paranoid man. any recommendation?

If I go to the Optifine website Downloads section and hit the download button for the latest version, after the ad interstitial I get https://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.18.2_HD_U_H7.jar&x=f9d4

 

 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

you dont magically get virusses by visiting a webpage. 

 

as for a recommendation... if you insist on using optifart, download it from their own website: https://optifine.net/home

or... use some form of optimization mod that isnt so bloated it undoes itself in the process.

OP, please don't download stuff from youtube videos that claim to give you "free mods 100% virus free" and are hidden behind a gazillion redirects, weird hostings and sometimes even phonewalls

I have experienced at using optifine but the redirect part is new to me. I'm a bit decent when it comes to computer knowledge, so you don't have to worry about me clicking links from shitty videos
