Full load RTX 3050

Hey everyone, I have bought this PC for about a couple of weeks, all good and I'm happy, just that I noticed that during full load gaming, the GPU tends to get a bit above 70 degrees. Now, having made the switch from a laptop I get PTSD when I see temperatures above 70 degrees, because step by step, it tended to go up and up and reach 80 degrees on my previous laptop, and sometimes I was getting FPS drops, or temperature spikes which caused thermal throttling. Well at least I guess that's how it happened.

Anyway, I just wanna know what I can do to lower the temperatures a little bit, or if it's normal for a RTX 3050 to reach such temperatures? Ideally I'd like to keep them under 70 degrees, constantly.

  • Improve the airflow in the case.
  • Create a custom fan curve for the GPU using MSI Afterburner or FanControl.
  • Use MSI afterburner to reduce the power/temperature limit.
  • Create a custom voltage/frequency curve in MSI afterburner to undervolt your GPU.

70-80c under load is perfectly fine.

Look at reviews for your specific GPU model of you want to compare temps.
