When upgrading gpus is it good practice to use ddu and install fresh drivers after the swap? Or is it ok to just leave the old drivers and do a quick swap without getting rid of old drivers?

When upgrading gpus it is a good practice to use ddu and install fresh drivers after the swap.

But going from AMD to AMD, or from Nvidia to Nvidia, you can pretty safely skip this step.

It’s nvidia to nvidia for me so I should be ok to skip this step? Just want to make totally sure I don’t want any stability issues. Thank you

Yeah totally fine, and if you would get stability issues, big if, then you can just ddu anyways, so no risk in skipping the step.
