Budget (including currency): 800 USD aprox.

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorent, Minecraft, Battlefield 2042, some video editing and casual internet browsing, Microsoft Flight Simulator (the latest version)

Other details

I want to build a decent gaming PC. My laptop is good enough, but has integrated graphics so it's not great. I want to play better games and thought it would be a fun project to build a gaming PC. I want to build it decent, but not supper expensive. I was going to use the 2019 "Building a Value Gaming Rig at Home - $800 Budget" video from LTT as a base for my project. Would it be sufficent for my needs? If not, what would have to be upgraded? What parts should I buy used? Any advice/tips?

Thanks! Any way to save some money though? If it's possible. Like get a slightly worse case or something like that. I'm deffinitly looking for the best bang-for-the-buck and am willing to sacrifice computational power (within reason) for the sake of price.

it would be somewhat irresponsible to recommend hardware based on this game as the game is almost abandonware at this point due to several issues so focus on the other software

Is it that bad on PC? I own it on xbox and I've never really had major problems with it.

You can do it for 800.  The parts list posted earlier in the thread is definitely not the cheapest possible option.   You can get something that will game well for a lot less.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Yes the game has been basically abandon by the developer and has an almost non existent player base and doesn;t even make the top 150 games that are currently being played on steam.

You know you can actually post a lot less frequently as this is a forum and not a chat window. You can actually post the purposed build in your reply vs spliting up several single sentences into several individual posts only a minute apart from eachother.

you could definitely work a 6600xt into this if you manage budget well enough.  A 12100f is with a 6600xt is gonna game a lot better thana  12400f with a 3050.  Like, not even close.  I would not be picking out $100 cases and $100 PSUs for a 3050 based parts list.  And aftermarket cooling on a cpu that could be cooled by a cold can of pop?  Good grief.  GPU/Monitor should always come first on gaming builds, and all of these seem to be scrapping it for stuff that doesn't really matter.  Sorry for the overload, but here's my 2 cents:

PCPartPicker Part List

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($67.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($49.99 @ Newegg Sellers)
Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 6600 XT 8 GB GAMING X Video Card  ($409.99 @ GameStop)
Case: GAMDIAS APOLLO E2 ELITE ATX Mid Tower Case  ($59.99 @ Amazon)

This will 100% give you the highest framerate for your money, and at $900 it's only $100 over your budget.  The case is a bit wonky but it has ffans, which is a lot more than you can ask of other cases in the price range.  A 500GB SSD is gonna have plenty of space for a few games, and will keep the the storage cost down to $50 while still giving you fast storage.  The CXM is a fine PSU for a system that's only using ~300w of power.  you could probably get a cheaprer motherboard, too but I just picked one to match the forma factor of the case.  A mATX board would be fine too and would save ~$25, some people are just averse to that mismatch.
