GPU choice

Hi, I am looking to build my PC in the near future, but had a couple of questions:

 

I aim going with an Intel I5 12400k. I will mostly just be playing Minecraft along with other light games, but will also be editing. I know this is overkill, but it is pretty cheap and very powerful. My main question is what GPU i should go for. I do not need/want a really high end tier GPU, something along the lines of 400-550$. I was looking at the 3070, since it seems to be middle-tier and good value, but it has become way too expensive, along with every other Nvidia GPU. Another option would be the Radeon 6600 XT. It’s price hasn’t been affected much, so it seems pretty good alternative. 

 

What should i do?

If you need to buy now the rx 6600xt is the best option but I would wait as GPU prises are going down and have done so so keep checking stores to see if any better gpus have come into your budget

An RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT fit your price range at the moment. Either is a decent fit.
