BSOD Randomly when doing anything?

I've had this PC for a little less than half a year I would say and ever since I moved the gpu from a vertical mount to on the motherboard It would BSoD when doing anything, downloading a game, watching YouTube, Writing this post. It gives me BSoD error codes like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or sometimes an error code that talks about a driver. I have all my drivers updated from Device manager to GeForce. Also, sometimes when I turn on my computer it would say an code (for example 0x0000001) and say Windows didn't load properly, then give me options but I'd just continue with setup and it would load.

I have a 

CPU: i9-12900k

GPU:RTX 3090 White Edition

SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB

RAM: 16x2 Dominator Platinum 5600MHz

Motherboard: ASUS Z690 

PWR: ASUS 1200W Thor

Sometimes the GPU riser cable is at fault. I remember seeing in some JayZTwocents video that a PCIe gen 3 riser cable was used in a gen 4 system and that was the problem iirc. If your PC has the option in BIOS, change to PCIe gen 3 and see if that does anything. If it doesn't, was the riser cable really cheap and where did you get it from?

The mount was from micro center and it was a Lancool Lian-Li one shown below. It was like 70$ or something around there.

If it works without the riser cable then obviously you know what the problem is.

 

Riser cables are nothing but a hack. The PCI-E spec was never designed for this. You should only use one when absolutely necessary and make sure it is high quality.

 

Unfortunately they've become so common now that people think it's a standard part of pc building. And often cases will come bundled with the cheapest cables. And then everyone is left wondering why their system doesn't work.

It was worse without the riser in it lol

Oh yeah I misread your post. So you took it off the riser and put it directly on the mobo and NOW it's giving you trouble? Did you change anything else?

 

First thing I would do is run memtest.

No I didnt change anything else about it. I just put it in and started doing giving me BSoD's like its oxygen and Ok I will

Turn off XMP. Check if stable.
