one memory module not working?

If one of the ram stick is not working in the slot , the system would not even post at all.

hey guys.

i bought corsair 2x8gb ddr4 3600mhz cl16 modules and what caught my attention was memory use of 30% while not having anything open. i downloaded cpu z and it showed slot where memory is as empty. i put this module in 3 other slots and its not being detected. i have to assume module is damaged?

its running on asus b550 f strix.
