Hello,

So I am a recent graduate who has been fortunate enough to land a full time job. The job is remote so the company I work for sent me a laptop. My personal laptop is quite old so I am deciding between starting to build a pc or buying another laptop. Essentially I am looking for a way to keep my work laptop stored in a clean and organized way that allows for easy access to both personal pc or laptop and then back to the work laptop. Anybody have any suggestions?

if you go for a laptop, you can just get a simple USB-C docking station to connect your peripherals etc. and then just switch between the work and personal laptop with one cable and *maybe* a charger.

i have a desktop under my desk, dual montiors, all the toys, etc. and i just have a spare cabling loom coming down to where i plonk down the work laptop to wire up the displays and ethernet, i have an outlet for the charger, and i use a different keyboard (because not having the drivers to turn the RGB rainbowpuke to static drives me mad beyond belief).

there's no magic to having a tidy dual-purpose setup, it just comes down to being a tidy person.
