[Help] AIO Pump/fan connection

I have a motherboard with 1 cpu_fan and 3 sys_fan headers.

My plan is to connect the aio pump to the cpu_fan and set the speed to 100% and the two fans to the sys_fan header using a y-connector.

Is this allright or should I follow below setup based on what I read so far:

-connect the two aio fans to the cpu_fan to utilize the variable speed to cool the radiators based on cpu temp

-connect the aio pump to sys_fan and set the speed to max as usual

Connection the Pump to the CPU header is the best option. When the pump dies ur MB will tell u.

Having ur MB tell u when ur pump dies is much better than when fans die 🙂

dead pump = 100c within 2min (almost)

dead fan/fans = 100c within 20m (depending on roomtemp, load...)

I thought so too.

Other sys_fan headers do not have alarm when the fan/pump connected to them dies?
