New case for custom loop

Hello there,

I'm currently rocking a Fractal Define R4, pretty heavily modded (360 rad in the front, d5 pump and tube reservoir behind it, custom 3.5” drive mount)

it has started to show its age (front panel worn out, plastic window all scratched, rattling noises) and I’m loooking for a new case.

My current contenders are the 5000T from Corsair and the Evolv X from Phanteks.

they are both in the same price range in my country (70$~ diff)

I'm looking for a modern case, glass side, good water cooling support and good looks.

I'm open for suggestions, though my country may be limited in availability of niche products.

Thank you!

5000T

I'd probably look at the 5000D over the mid tower 5000T depending on how much you're wanting to put in the case. There's also the 4000D if you want a bit smaller of a case on a better budget.

I loved this case up until the day I out grew it. Mine was hardware and not water cooling out growing though. Tons of space.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I think the 5000D and the 5000T are similar in size, are they not? The 5000T classifies as a mid tower, but it’s a LARGE one.

How did you manage to outgrow the Evolv X 😮 (for real) ?

The T is slightly larger for more than double the price. ($150 vs $400).

2 more GPUs. 4 wouldn't fit in the case with 5 HDDs. Only one PSU would fit. So it temporarily turned into this mess.

Drives got unplugged for some PCIE troubleshooting for F@H. 1070 on a riser sitting on acrylic, and that's a 1080 at a 45 degree angle in a riser sitting on a box since that riser was too short to reach the ground.

imo if yer air cooling go with o11 air mini UNLESS yer using EATX mobo

I moved from o11 dynamic to 5000d airflow, I find the corsair easier to cable  manage (worst rad clearance for custom loop)
