Overclocking 1500x

So my old pc has a 1500x in it, I was considering overclocking it and was wondering how safe it would be to have it running overclocked constantly, and what would be good for cooling it since I'm looking into re casing the pc and putting on a new cooler

It will be totally fine, just don't go over 1.4V if you want to run 24/7.

First gen ryzens OC'd okay, I think I was running my 1700 at 3.75Ghz on 1.34V, or something like that.

For cooling it, whatever works, it is an old ryzen 4core cpu, it physically can't draw much power by design.

Most Ryzen 1000 series parts topped out at 3.9-4.0GHz for all-core OC. I wouldn't expect to get more than that regardless of cooling.

 

For the cooler, I'd recommend a cheap tower cooler, like the Vetroo V5 or Hyper 212.
