TPM compatibility

I've been searching for a 14-1 pin TPM 1.2 module for my msi z87 g45 gaming motherboard. Elden ring wasn't released for Windows 7 so i am now forced to upgrade to Windows 10.

Also I'm in high school, I can't work.

So upgrading my motherboard and cpu isn't an option like at all.

Every 1.2 tpm module I find is a 20 pin.

I'm just so frustrated really.

Who even designs a motherboard to have 1.2 TPM with a socket none use.

The only TPM modules that are 14 -1 pin are 2.0 would that work?

Also it's the 5th pin that is the -1 not the 7th.

You do not need a TPM for windows 10

Main Rig : 5600X, NH-U14s, MSI B550 Gaming Plus, 32GB DDR4 3200, MSI RTX 3070

Server : i7-7700k, Hyper 212 RGB, ASUS Prime z270, 16GB DDR4 2133, MSI GTX 1070

Can't you in BIOS just force the OS to think a TPM is there

Only windows 11 requires a TPM. So you don't really need it anyway as of it isn't really worth buying because as of my experience, you rarely encounter anything that requires it

As mentioned Win10 doesn't care about TPM, Win11 does and it needs TPM2.0 so adding a 1.2 module wouldn't help anyway.

TPM headers tend to be different by manufacturer, they'd of course have sold matching modules when the motherboard was current but that was 9 years ago...
