Hi, I've had a problem with my brother's PC for a long time. Randomly (about once a week or two) it emits a beep code of 5 beeps. I've tried: Flash and BIOS reset, removing and returning the GPU to the slot, updating drivers, etc. I really don't know what to do next.

Any advice? Thanks!

Ok, motherboard has AMI BIOS

5 Short Beeps

Five short beeps mean there has been a processor error. A damaged expansion card, the CPU, or the motherboard could be prompting this AMI beep code.

Start by reseating the CPU. If that doesn't work, try reseating any expansion cards. Chances are, however, the CPU needs replaced.

One of my builds will do the 5 beeps that are supposed to mean "no GPU" when the GPU is there and working fine but no display is connected.
