Didn't know where to put this so move I'd necessary.

Anyway, I have been tasked with Cleaning my brothers PC. I built it for him probably 6 years ago (When Ryzen was new) Turns out since then he has not cleaned it since I built it. He smokes and Vapes (also his greens). His GPU/PC is refusing to turn on for Temps. What is the best way to clean a PC with all that smoke gunk/caked dust? I was thinking about taking Mobo battery out and Alcohol bathing what I could and isopropyl alcohol spray and using a soft brush on the rest? Any suggestions.

If its as bad as it sounds like, there are absolutely some similar builds in this playlist. (click the title of the video for the full playlist) For a complete beginner with no idea where to start, might be worth scrubbing through a few (no pun intended).

I know how to clean/maintain regular dust. But this is ADVANCED dust lmao.

Yep, some of the videos in the playlist have truly filthy PC's. That's why you have to look at the playlist and not just that first video. He'll go over tools and procedures.

I have seen a guy traveling the world using a portable leaf blower to break the fans, leaving the computer users destroyed.  the fans are to spin from the motor's force.  forcing the fans to spin otherwise will break them.

been there done that.. don't use compressed air on small fans 😄

Well turns out his Motherboard and CPU are fried. It's getting power, RGB is working, but nothing else. I didn't want to clean it until i tested and re-sat everything. Considering what I found it was a good thing I did. Would have been a lot of time for no results. Reset BIOS too. Not even a speaker beep with or without the CPU in. Was also a new speaker. I can't see any burnt components. I cleaned the GPU with a toothbrush and Alcohol. (It wasn't pleasant, it belongs on Electronic Gore Reddit. I'll post them if you want.) Tested the PSU with my tester and it was fine. Also gross but fine. Thinking the only salvageable stuff is the GPU, PSU and Maybe RAM I have yet to test that still too. HDDS seem fine.
