Bios Fucked?

PandaSITT

I have a cheap Laptop, that is still love.

The Problem is that the Bios seems to be suddenly very broken. If I'm trying to launch in the Bios (technically UEFI, but doesn't matter) all I'm getting is a command prompt like black screen with a blinking "_" and no response when I'm typing.

I had Linux installed on it, the bootloader lets me select the OS, but Linux is complaining about a Firmware Bug.

[Firmware Bug] Failed to parse event in TPM Final Event Log

x86/cpu: SGX disabled by BIOS

Kernal panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

To me, it seems like the Bios is broken. I did not Update the Bios or touched it in at least Months. Unplugging the Bios battery did not help.

Is there anything can do, or any explanation for what might happened?

I might have to separate problems, I did upgrade the OS version and probably the Kernel Version to 5.13 (its the newest one displayed in grup).

When I'm trying an older version, I can get to the Login Screen (SDDM) but when I'm trying to log in I get the following Error for a second and then back to the Login screen:

x86/cpu SGX disabled by BIOS
i915 000:00:02.0: (drm) *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun

The Bios still doesn't work, and I still think it's part of the Problem.

My best guess right now is that background radiation somehow broke my bios chip. If anyone knows what it could be or has a better idea, please tell me.

I'm genuinely curious what happened.
