Motherboard question..

I recently bought a msi z690-a ddr4 paired with a i5 12600k. I have corsair vengeance pros 2x16gb 3600mhz. But can't get the two sticks of ram to work. Only one in the a2 slot. Tried adding the other to b2 but I get an error on post. Need assistance

contact MSI, DDR4 support shouldn't be this bad. It should be posting at 2133 atleast.

That was my next step. The one stick read at 2133 on successful post.

You could also try to reseat the cpu . Check the pins.

Clear CMOS. Install 1 stick in DIMM A2. Boot into bios. Load defaults and save. Turn off.

Install other stick in DIMM B2. Boot into bios. Check. Try XMP.

Tried that but it won't boot once that second stick is installed. No way to get to bios

One stick, passmark memetest, check.

Other stick, memtest, check.

Maybe one or both are faulty?

I tested both in slot a2 work fine alone. Worked fine with both in my previous motherboard.

Quick question going back to the motherboard issue. Now on the specs for the mobo itself it lists

Now i have a 650 ps non module. With one cpu 8 pin. would i need to upgrade my psu to 750 for the two 8 pin power to use my 3600mhz in dual mode?
